Purpose Thisgrant is intended to give back to the members of CRPS, demonstrating our commitment to the promotion of our membership, presence, and for community projects they are involved in / wish to be involved in. It is representative of our Mission and Vision for the Canadian Royal Purple National organization.
1. Provincial Associations may apply for and receive up to $2000 maximum per year for costs to attend communities for the promotion and MAC work to establish new lodges where they do not exist. The association shall describe the proposed plans and timelines. The Provincial President and Provincial Treasurer shall be responsible for completing the application and, for follow up financial summary to the National Office. Any unused grant funds will be returned to the Your Cause is Our Cause Community Grant Fund.
2. New Lodges can apply to receive a $2000 donation to a community cause of their choice, once applied for: The new lodge shall describe the proposed community cause they wish to support and describe why it is important to your members and your community. Minutes containing the motion to become committed to this cause should be included with your application. Completed applications are to be forwarded to the National Office.
A follow up requirement of the application will be provided to the National Office with a copy of all publicity at the community level as well as acknowledging the funds provided by the National organization. National Website and Facebook publicity will also be arranged.
Questions: Could a Lodge donate to this Community Grant Fund? Yes - a lodge, a member, a Provincial Association, anyone, can donate to the National Community Grant Fund.
Who can apply for a CRPS Community Grant? Any Provincial Association wanting to start a new lodge or lodges (for the provincial portion); Any new lodge (for the lodge portion)
Who will get the money? Provincial Association: The cheque will be made payable to the association for disbursement to the appropriate members attending the communities. **All receipts are to be retained and copies sent to the National Office at the completion of their promotions. Lodge: The cheque will be made payable to the community Cause on your behalf.
Who decides who is awarded the grants every year? The CRPS Community Grant committee which consists of the presiding president and three other National Board members will recommend approved applications to the National Board. The National Board has final approval.
